Dahlia seed sorting is a wonderful job on a cold, rainy day. We collected all of our seeds at the end of the growing season, from dried flower heads. The seeds are separated from the chaff (the dried papery petals) and the healthy viable seeds sorted. These are then stored ready for germination at the end of winter.
