After approximately 5 years of love and care, this amazing columnar cactus (approximately 90cm tall) has produced its first bloom!
The bud was larger than my hand, so I knew the bloom was going to be a beauty. With the bloom only lasting for around 8-10 hours, I consider myself very lucky that it popped out on a day that I was at home so that I could be around to see it and take a few photos. Fully open, this bloom was larger than my head!
Hopefully we get another one next season……..
